Curved paddock fencing and gates

A sweeping run of oxide-brown estate fencing follows a grass track around the edge of a horse paddock. Where the track meets the gravel, a pair of X-braced gates hangs between capped round posts.

The gates carry the traditional details that suit estate fencing: a ring at the centre of each brace, a ring latch where the leaves meet, and top rails that curl over the hanging posts. The fencing keeps a smooth, even line around the curve, so the boundary reads as one continuous sweep across the field.

Driveway entrance and frontage railings

A new entrance for a newly built house: a wide driveway gate and a matching pedestrian gate, hung on square steel posts, with a run of dark estate railing along the front boundary.

These photos were taken during installation, before the paving and planting were finished. Even at this stage they show how a simple barred gate with a single diagonal brace suits a modern country house.

Country lane estate railing

A long run of steel estate railing set along the verge of a tree-lined country lane, running beneath mature oaks and along the edge of a wooded meadow.

Estate railing suits a roadside boundary like this. It marks the line clearly for passing traffic and walkers but leaves the view into the trees open, and the continuous bars follow the gentle rise and fall of the verge.
